Established in 1894 ad recognized in 1905, the Loudoun Hunt continues to hunt a pack of American and Crossbred foxhounds in a live-hunt in Loudoun County, Virginia. Our kennels are located just outside of Leesburg, We hunt Wednesdays, Saturdays, holidays and occasional bye-days. We pride ourselves on being one of the friendliest and most inclusive hunts in the area, just come out with us and we’ll show you! We hunt fox in the traditional format, with our hounds, with the mounted field and spectators following by horse, on foot, or by car. Our Capping Fees are among the most reasonable you will find with any hunt in the area.
Our goal is to instruct and educate adult riders in order to promote safe and enjoyable equestrian experiences.
We offer adult equestrians educational opportunities including lessons with top instructors, clinics, summer camps for both western and english enthusiasts.
USTR is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to preserving and creating trails for riding fun and pleasure.
A club of horse enthusiasts and pleasure riders who enjoy riding local and regional trails in northern Virginia.
Through volunteering and direct financial support, USTR is dedicated to contributing to the development and maintenance of multi-use trails and facilities to benefit all equestrians. To fund our efforts, we have partnered in the competitive Crystal Crown Judged Pleasure Ride series, host our annual Memorial Day Benefit ride over the pristine and private trails of southern Loudoun County, and support the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship’s (BRCES) trails through fundraising and maintenance.
USTR presents a variety of educational and informative programs, open to the public, during our monthly meetings. Additionally, we hold semi-annual social events and monthly trail rides available to members. USTR member meetings take place on the first Friday of each month in Leesburg, Virginia.
The Virginia Equine Alliance is a non-profit, 501 (c) 6 organization which is comprised of the Virginia Harness Horse Association, the Virginia Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association, the Virginia Gold Cup Association, and the Virginia Thoroughbred Association. The purpose of the Virginia Equine Alliance is to sustain, promote, and expand the horse breeding and horse racing industries in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The Alliance seeks to establish and support new and multiple venues for horse racing in the Commonwealth and to advocate and support legislation, regulations, and rules beneficial to the breeders and owners and trainers of horses (“horsemen”) in the state. The Alliance represents the interests of horsemen at meetings of the Virginia General Assembly, the Virginia Department of Agriculture, the Virginia Racing Commission, racing associations, breeder’s organizations, horsemen’s organizations, and other like groups. The Alliance is committed to increasing public awareness of the economic and environmental importance to the Commonwealth of the horse breeding and horse racing industries.
