SUMMARY:Westbourne Trail Ride
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, May 7\, 2023\n9:00 AM\nWestbourne Trail Ride\nWestbourne\, The Plains\, VA\n$60\nEnjoy an exclusive trail ride through the National Register listed “Little River Rural Historic District” which will explore the history of the most pristine territory of the Orange County Hounds. Our ride will begin at the early 19th-century Westbourne and continue across the legendary estates of Oakendale and Stonehedge.  The entire ride will take place on properties permanently protected by conservation easements.   \nPlease arrive early as the ride will begin promptly at 9:00 AM and last approximately 2 1/2 hours. \nParticipants are responsible for providing their own horse and riding equipment.  They must be able to control their horse and remain with the group behind the leader.  Protective ASTM/SEI approved hard helmets are required by our insurance. Riders should also be comfortable walking\, trotting\, crossing small creeks\, and riding on hills. If you need to hire a horse\, please let us know and we can make local recommendations. \nWater and snacks will be provided.
