🗓️ MONDAY, MAY 4 — Protect Equestrian Uses in Zoning
On Monday evening, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors will vote on Western Loudoun rural uses in the Zoning Ordinance—including key equestrian provisions.
Thanks to the work of the Loudoun County Equine Alliance, we’ve already made meaningful progress:
Removed restrictions that would have limited arena size, lighting, and setbacks
Preserved the ability for equestrian businesses and events to function realistically
Secured support from the Board’s Transportation and Land Use Committee
What’s left: final approval—and clarity that horse care, boarding, and competition prep are not restricted by public-facing hours.
👉 This vote matters. Your presence reinforces that rational equestrian zoning is important to Loudoun’s rural economy.
🕕 Monday’s meeting begins at 6:00 PM
